Exactly!  The magic thing about a radio is that it plays.

So far the following are in operation at the museum

Atwater Kent 20C, three dial TRF battery set.
RCA 128 tombstone
GE A-82 tombstone
Harry Klancer's RCA "Visible Radio"
A couple of consoles
Primitive one-tube regen with variometer feedback control
Crystal set with galena and cat's whisker
BC-348 for the Morse code exercise (copying NDB ID's)

These are supported by a wide-band antenna and a distribution amp that 
feeds clean signal to each set via 75-ohm coax, rather that depending on 
three feet of wire dangled behind the table.

There's lots more work to do.  When we get some room, I'd like to have 
auditioning booths, where you could sit down and play a particular set.  
We need to test various concepts and see what actually works with the 
public.
