Yeah, ya gotta act fast. People are in a hurry. I acted pretty fast, but
not quite fast enough.

This guy was just down the road from me, so I emailed him this morning as
soon as I saw John's note and told him that although I couldn't take the
transmitter I would be interested in the receiver. When I stopped by his
house around noon to pick it up I asked him if he wouldn't mind holding
onto the transmitter for another day or two since maybe someone in the
club (paging Joe Cro?) would be interested in it and I could come back
and pick it up for them.  He said his dad had come by about an hour
before and hauled the transmitter to the dump. Some people are in a
REALLY big hurry to get rid of this kind of stuff!

Scott, the mount is yours. I don't want to sell it. Maybe you can find
something interesting to trade me.

And would you believe it? After over 40 years of radio collecting, this
is my first Boat Anchor!
