[NJARC] Hail to the GENERAL!

Hi Joe/Folks,

For me, 90% of the incentive for FINALLY getting a ham license with meaningful priviledges was to get on on AM!

AM, AM, AM, AM.....;-)

But I'm already thinking about a modern solid-state rice-burner SSB rig (there's no shortage of them at hamfests). Yesterday, I picked up a like-new-in-the-box 12V/25A Astron power supply at a yard sale. Is this an omen?

Plus an HT....something like what Scott got yesterday at OMARC.

Speaking of 866's and the Johnson Valiant, my Valiant has homebrew solid-state rectumfires replacing the 866's. Who knows, they may be more dangerous than the mercury-vapor tubes. ;-) We'll see....I can see that Valiant paired up with the NC-303 on the operating table. Nice....Wait, *what* operating table? Where's this station gonna go? And what about the antenna, ground(s), feedline, etc., etc.? Uh-Oh. I can see another 17 years slipping away....

73, (that's ham talk for seeya later)

JR
