Al - Not a bad idea! Even 864's are pricey since people know they're being
subbed for WD-11's! Any photoshoot or whatever would be greatly
appreciated.I should have a few 3V4's around here and if not, can most
likely get them from our club tube program reasonably.
Did you make up your own adapter socket? If so, I'm curious how you did it.
The ones that were available through the "Radiola Guy" on the West Coast are
no longer available.
Just a FYI: I think I'll participate in next years BC Band DX contest. I was
able to log 12 stations during the day, and a few more in the evening with
the little Aeriola Sr using the WD-11. One of the stations was around 800KC
in Alberta, Western Canada giving the weather forecast! My R-390's never did
that - hi! They're not bad little receivers.
