Forwarding this to the list. John Dilks, Do you know why Walter can't send to NJARC?

Thanks for the info Walter. I won't pay for the paper because 1 I am cheap and 2 I only paid a buck for the tuner.

Hi Marty:

All good input. Now it is my turn. This is the Globe AT-3 Tuner. This is a 100 Watt tuner 80-10 meters. The neon bulb is your output indicator and has to be connected to the output terminal..Take a piece of small solid insulated wire and wrap 2 turns around the other wire. Solder the other end to ground. For QRP you may have to increase the number of turns. This is your capacitor coupling to ground. This is referred to as a gimmick capacitor. My procedure for tuning is to set the tuning capacitor to mid range.Use only enough power to light the bulb. Adjust the inductor switch switch to the brightest position.Adjust power so the bulb just turns orange and peak the capacitor for maximum brightness.Finish. Pete the manualman wa2cwa has the assembly and operating manual.
