Thanks Al and Joe, I found a comment in my 1962 ARRL handbook that said a neon bulb can be used "under certain circumstances" as an RF voltmeter placed between RF output and ground. Joe, It is not an ne2. I can't read the number as it was soldered over, but it is in a package similar to a #47 lamp. Marty
