[NJARC] Suddenly a mainstream hobby?

Being a WWII historian/reenactor/living history type of many years, I am not surprised any more by what I have always believed a niche hobby being more mainstream than I'd thought... There are several episodes of "The Simpsons" where they have references to the reenacting hobby, and many of my friends from that group and I have said the same thing- "the guy who wrote that(particular bit) has to be a reenactor!" So, I imagine the same can be said with radio collecting!

And, for a side note, one of my favorite "Dragnet" episodes had Joe Friday and Frank(?) Gannon going after a drug dealer, who used to be a radio repairman. They found the evidence in an "old radio" which was some version of a cathedral which no longer worked. Joe summed it up by saying he figured it out because he didn't see why a radio repairman wouldn't fix an old radio he had sitting around his house. Boy are we in trouble if they ever suspect us of that! lol...
