I gave an abbreviated version of my talk on "The Farnsworth Invention: What Matters about Fact and
Fiction" to the Cranbury Lions Club last night (only 35 slides) and attracted the following request
for a repairman:

Jon Goldstein writes:

"My 1941 Wurlitzer jukebox (that is a restored one below, mine is not) is working fine and I
recently converted from the steel needles to a sapphire cartridge that tracks much lighter and gives
me more than 12 plays on a needle!

"The amplifier is all tubes and the diagram inside the jukebox tells what they are. I have been
told the amp needs to be cleaned up and “realigned” to obtain a much better sound. I sure would like
to get this done locally rather than sending it out somewhere. Can you connect me to one of the
Radio Club people or someone who could go thru the amp and get this fine old machine sounding more
like it did? I would appreciate your help."

Some of you may know just how cool this jukebox is; those who don't can visit

Jon will pay for services; I don't think he has the manual, just the schematic inside the jukebox.
If someone can help him, please contact Jon directly at
