[NJARC] Meeting was too long last night

Hi Gang,
The meeting was way too long last night. First of all it started
late. The Video Dave made (which was interesting) and Phil's radio
story (also interesting) should have been saved for another meeting,
one without a "BIG" auction. Technical difficulties with computer
programs should be worked out ahead of time. There needs to be some
organization and planning for future meetings, for times and lengths
of the various programs being presented. They should fit the overall
time available.
Some spontaneous presentations/presenters should be told to come back
another time. The meeting should start on time. When we have a large
auction or a long presentation by someone, these deserve the time to
run uninterrupted and should start earlier in the evening, so anyone
with a long drive will not have to miss out on them.
I am not the only one who travels almost 2-hours to get to the
meeting and 2-hours again back home. I'm 66 years old now (probably
the average age of our membership) and getting home after 11 pm,
after a 2-hour drive is not fun. (I need my beauty sleep at home, in
bed, not behind the wheel.) Sherry does not like the long meetings
either, especially after they start so late. Last night she reminded
me on the way home, several times.
So last night I left the meeting at 9 p.m., long before it was over,
and therefore wasn't able to bid on a couple of things I wanted to.
