Dave beat me in extending thanks to Al Klase and everyone else involved in this annual clinic.  It was very clear to anyone attending that a lot of work and effort went into this clinic.
I had always considered crystal radios as a 'toy' or curiosity for science minded kids but Al's presentation took the crystal radio to new heights and performance.  I was quite amazed at the performance of this simple design.  One can also make enhancements to this design to get even better performance, which is something I plan to do at next years' clinic, if not sooner.
