[NJARC] DC Power in NYC?

In Atlantic City, the Chafaunt-Haddon Hall hotel had self-generated
DC up until Resorts bought it. The power plant also provided steam
for heat to the hotel, and I think other nearby buildings. There
were other hotels who had self generated DC in the earlier days, but
the Haddon Hall had it until the 70's. I'm sure they must have had
AC for some things there, but the DC plant was in full operation in a
building near by.

That's why they made AC-DC radios.
