Hello All,
I just wanted to share information about a recent purchase that
may be of interest to some of the "impoverished experimenters" among us like
myself.

I very recently purchased a "Special Purchase" 4 pcs, pliers set at my local
"Aldi" supermarket that included a 7" diagonal cutters or "dykes", a 8"
Linemans' pliers, 8" long nose pliers, and a conventional 8" slip joint
pliers on a special CLOSEOUT price of $4.99. That's $1.25 for each tool in
the set, and half off the regular prices whilst supplies last.

I suspected typical Chinese quality handtools. You can take that for what
it's worth since Chinese tools tend to lack somewhat in quality. I was quite
surprised that the "dykes" and "Linemans" pliers actually cut and each piece
in the set is very well made. A very good bargain indeed, especially for
quality tools!

Even if you don't need any pliers to augment your workbench, these are
definitely worth buying for the price.

I didn't need anything in the set, but just can't pass up on a perceived
bargain if I think I could use it. I wish I bought two sets!

For anyone interested, they're sold under the "Kingcraft" brand, a Aldi,
exclusive, under item# 1386-08.

I have no pecuniary interest in the pliers set or Aldi, just though I'd pass
along a real bargain for those who might be interested.

Just think, it's only .25 more a piece than what you'd pay at a Dollar
Store, and they actually work!

Best Regards,
                     Joe Cro N3IBX
