Folks,

Note proper trim on this email as well. What fun.

Now for MY two cents:

I think it's inevitable that we'll somehow alternate
meetings between Sarnoff and InfoAge (and possibly my
basement, during periods of low humidity).

Seriously, don't take the term "alternate" too
literally. I don't necessarily mean that we'll be
going back and forth every other month between Sarnoff
and InfoAge. As Al points out -- and this has been
discussed before -- Friday nights during summer
vacation season are *killers* down toward InfoAge from
a traffic standpoint.

I have several siggestions:

1) Disband the club. This is an extreme measure, but
eliminates the meeting location debate entirely.

2) On a more serious note, perhaps we can hold
summertime meetings at InfoAge on *Saturday* mornings
or afternoons, to minimize (but certainly not
eliminate) the traffic hassles.

3) Once InfoAge climate control issues are resolved,
we could have more winter meetings there, and
spring/summer meetings at Sarnoff.

4) Like most members, I am *not* in favor of using one
location full-time over the other. From a selfish
standpoint, Sarnoff is in my backyard. But we need to
do what's right for the club. At InfoAge, we don't
have the time restrictions. I would like to see our
meetings (and clinics!) go a bit longer, including
informal after-meeting bull sessions or repair
sessions. That's not possible at Sarnoff, but we can
do that at InfoAge. And look for Marconi's ghost late
at night in the hallways.

Trim as needed.

JR
