Greetings Fred
As a guess, I think Brian is referring to the radar electronics in the
trailer as a zapatron. Microwave ovens use a magnetron which was first
used in radar. If you put aluminum foil in a microwave oven, you will
see some sparks.
Well, that maybe a stretch, but it seems (at least to me) to fit the
usage!
Anyway, to answer Brian's question:
SCR-197* K-18, K-19/35
SCR-250 K-20
SCR-270* K-22, K-30, K-31, K-32, K-54, K-64
SCR-271* K-64A
SCR-277* K-29
SCR-299* K-51, K-52*
SCR-399 K-52
SCR-527* K-77, K-55, K-60, K-72, K-76, K-77
SCR-545 K-75
SCR-573 K-53, K-63
SCR-574 K-53, K-63
SCR-584 K-78
"*" indicates that several variations exist. With respect to trailers,
the one that was readily available was most likely used to house the
equipment. Or possibly, the system was so large it took more then one
trailer for transport.
The above was found, thanks to Fred Chesson, at:
