[NJARC] GE Beam-O-Scope

I worked on this set at the clinic.  The pot in question is indeed the volume control (switch is on the tone control as you state) and is 2 meg ohm with a tap.  shaft is about 2 1/2"  with a half round end for the knob.  We found a close match in Walt Heske's stash but without a tap. A temporary hookup seemed to work but we are still looking for a closer match if possible.  Let us know if you have one.  The original pot was smashed so bad we couldn't make any measurements.

Al. and for anyone else interested – I looked through some GE schematics, and it looks like GE used 2K ohm volume controls on many sets (ON/OFF switch on tone control). I could not locate a 2K pot in my collection. I found a 1500 ohm ½ watt but probably should be at least a 1 to 2 watt. This  should have a audio taper or also known as a “Z” taper. Hey folks! Check your stuff and see if you have something better before you leave.
