Hi,

That is a radio console built by MacKay Marine
(later called ITT MacKay Marine)
for U.S. Liberty Ships/ Victory Ships during WWII.
It consists of an MF transmitter with plate modulator
for class A-1 and A-2, and a separate HF transmitter
for A-1. Both transmitters commonly shared the same HV power supply.
There are two separate receivers for voice/c.w., one for HF and one for MF/LF. The equipment was intended for use with long wire antennas
aboard ship, and the antenna couplers are built into the transmitters.

The HF c.w. marine bands were at 4, 6, 8, 12 and 16 Mc.

Later versions of this equipment used a pair of 813's in the final
of both the MF and HF transmitter, and were rated at 500W output each.
I believe the final DC input voltage was kept down during
the WW II period for a rated output of 250W.

The console also includes a small emergency transmitter,
powered by a 12VDC input dynamotor,
and equipment to send/receive the Autoalarm
signal on 500Kc (a long sequence of four-second dashes/ one-second spaces).

73,
Ed Knobloch

Do you think we should go get it?
