NJARC members:

I finally got around to doing something that I've wanted to do for a long
time. I added a page to the website in memory of Tony Flanagan. (It's
linked from the "What's New?" page or the "Club Information" page.) I'll
be adding more to it in the future.

For those of you who didn't know Tony, he was the single driving force
behind the founding of the New Jersey Antique Radio Club and was
personally responsible for much of the sweat equity that went into
building this organization up from literally nothing. If you never met
him, you missed an interesting experience. Tony had strong opinions about
almost everything, always said exactly what was on his mind and never
minced words. Woe be unto anyone he decided he didn't think too much of!
Fortunately for me, we always got along just fine.

If you knew Tony, please consider sharing some thoughts which could be
added to the memorial page. Email me any stories, recollections,
remembrances of some of our earliest meetings or swapmeets (or maybe
run-ins with him!) that you might have. If you have any photos (these
seem to be somewhat scarce) please send them to me also.

If it wasn't for Tony's efforts, this club would not even exist.
Hopefully this web page will help those of us who knew him remember him
and those of us who came after him to know him a little bit for the first
time.

Thanks,
--Dave Sica
