[NJARC] Radio Lubricant

Hi Everyone!

I am currently overhauling my late uncle's
Hallicrafters SX-16. It started out as a simple recap,
but I decided to clean out the 70 years of accumulated
dust & gunk, and am currently cleaning the dial
gearing mechanism of the hardened crud that was once
grease. And it has me wondering- what would I be best
advised to use as replacement lubricant? Often for
this type thing, I use a mild wheel bearing grease,
but I want to make sure I use the best for this
radio... I understand White lithium grease has issues
which make it not the choice any more...

The recap went reasonably- I found all the paper caps,
even the two they don't show located in the BFO box...
I also refinished the faceplate, and will be replacing
the wrinkle paint on the case... Should look pretty
good when I finish.

Thanks!
Scott
