Hi John, How old is "THAT" old? I do indeed remember the ice mans' horse as well as an itinerant knife sharpener also with a horse drawn cart. He would hit a bell to announce his presence in the neighborhood. This was in the early to mid 50's just outside of Newark NJ. With the price of gas as it is, we may be seeing horses again soon.
