Of course there's AM740 (Toronto) that you can listen to while on the computer at AM740.ca via streaming audio.

Rob - I am DEEPLY saddened to hear the bad news! WBUD has been a listening
staple in my home for years.

Interestingly enough, it's website hasn't been updated in a very long time,
and I suspected it's been controlled by some corporate entity that puts on
the daily programing by the click of a mouse some 1500 miles away.

At Christmas time they had a nice program of Holiday type music that lasted
a week or so, and every Sunday morning they had a Frank Sinatra program that
lasted all morning.

For those that can receive it (it's a 5KW station with a fair coverage area)
WBCB in Levittown,Pa, 1490 AM has a very good variety of all kinds of music
among other varied programming. Between 10AM and noon, Monday to Thursday
they host the "Lou Powers' Show" that plays some terrific music and early
jazz from the first half of the twentieth century. For those that are able
to, it's definitely worth a listen to. During other times of the day they
have other music programing including some modern interspersed with some
vintage C&W (the Bill Melody Show), some 60's pop and rock and roll (The Big
Kahuna) and other ethnic musical programming during different days of the
week.

I apologize of I sound like an advertisement for the station. That's not my
objective. I just wanted to point out that there is another AM station that
plays some music, as well as New Jersey's own WHWH (1350KC) in Hopewell, NJ
which offers an ecclectic variety of everything from jazz to Christmas
music, C&W, pop, rock and roll, etc.

Are there any other AM stations in the area that play music? Please let the
group know.

I still listen to AM on a daily basis, and love to use it as a medium to
play through my old broadcast sets. I'm sure other member of our group do
the same thing.

Best Regards and let's keep AM alive! It stands for "Angel Music"!

                        Joe Cro N3IBX
