Hi Joe,
Not me. But I hear enough encouraging stories that
perhaps it pays to keep looking. You just never know.
For me, this has been a *bad* year at yard sales and
antique stores. I have found absolutely nothing.
Actually, I didn't go to all that many antique stores
or yard sales, so I guess I got what I deserved. ;-)
Stopped at 4-5 yard sales today. Nothing.
Conversely, it's been a good year at hamfests/NJARC
meets/auctions/Kutztown. It's nice to know that there
are still some bargains out there. And even if an item
is *not* really a bargain, if it's something you
really want, that's OK too!
Success at yard sales depends entirely on a special
narcotic that you must ingest before going
"yard-sailing" on a Saturday morning. Rich Skoba makes
his in his kitchen sink. He has refused to give me the
formula. I think it conains Ginseng and oregano and
eye of newt, etc.
