I read a while back that it had become fashionable for "young people"
(I'm no longer sure exactly what age that means ;-) to use old 'scopes to
display audio patterns of the music at parties and dances. Sounds like
the oil-and-colored-water-on-an-overhead-projector "light shows" that I
remember from school dances in the sixties and early seventies!
