Hello everyone,

First, a quick word of thanks to the club and its member who contributed
to our Flood Fund.  Your total of $1575 made a big difference, and the
collective support of the radio/TV/electronics/broadcast communities who
pitched in from across the country (and in England) was a surprise to my
board.

Document Reprocessors returned the 510 cartons yesterday and the
material I've seen in a few of the boxes may be a bit bent sometimes,
but the pages are separated and the ink didn't run. In some ways the
hard part has only begun.  We now have to organize the boxes, which were
unloaded off their pallets and stacked in the new room four deep and
high, and develop a grant proposal for shelving, cataloging, climate
control, etc.  This is a longer-term project than the rescue, and I'll
keep you informed as we go along.

Second, is someone from the club, possibly with a van or wagon,
available to help me on Friday morning?  An RCA Labs widow is emptying
her house, and I need another good back and pair of arms to move a 1940s
DuMont TV chassis and CRT from the attic, along with some radios, and an
LC1A loudspeaker in a Victor cabinet from the garage.

Whatever I don't want is the club's, and I will say there are a variety
of test equipment and oscilloscopes of pre-1960 vintage.  Presuming it
all goes for auction, she would like a copy of the prices realized for
the tax deduction.
