Hi Ed,

If you want things to look more authentic you can of
course clean out the old caps from the "box" and put
new ones inside. We have 4.7 UF and 10 UF 450V
electroltyics that would be fine for that. Whatever
you do, *don't* leave the original eletroltyics in the
circuit. They are almost always bad in a receiver of
that vinatge, or they will fail very soon once you
start using the set.

In a set that age, a complete re-cap is advisable --
and it doesn't have that many caps, anyway. ;-)

I'm not trying to sound like a commercial for the
NJARC Cap Program, but I think you'll find that
defective caps are a *much* bigger problem in old
radios than defective tubes.
