Guys,
This all started with some captured Viet-Cong home-made equipment in US
ammo cans that were on display in the Ft. Monmouth museum many years ago.
About 4 years ago I built a two-tube regenerative superhet in a 30-cal
can that tunes 80 and 40 meters, dubbed Uncle Ho.
Last weekend's festivities got me back to thinking about a simple AM
transmitter to go with it. I want to take a whack at the early TBX
circuit: An 837 crystal oscillator, suppressor modulated bu\y a carbon
mike and transformer. A watt or two will be plenty for short range working.
Pix in separate email.
Regards,
Al
