I just finished reading Walt Heskes interesting and informative article in the ARC Jan 2005 about post war IF transformers with silver mica caps.  This was especially interesting to me because I had just encountered my first case of 'silver-mica disease'.  The report by Walt was very thorough and well documented - thanks Walt!
My question is - what did the radio industry do to correct this problem?
