As a seller, I've been keeping track of my hamfest activity since the
early 80's. In looking down the list, only two of any merit, that don't
exist anymore in NJ, are the Tri-County (gone around 1994) and the
Pennsauken area (gone around 1996). All the rest are still alive,
although they may have moved locations at times. During a typical year,
E. PA, MD, NY, and CT, all have a number of them that are less than 200
miles to drive. Of course, then there are the ones where miles and time
to drive, are way down on the list of issues and concerns. Lots of places
to spend your Saturday or Sunday pocket change during a typical hamfest
season.
