Has anyone tried sending the speaker output of their computer into a transmitter so their favorite radios could play the streaming "oldies station"? One club member mentioned she plays her favorite CD's through the stereo into a transmitter and all the radios throughout the house are able to pick it up. (Mostly 30's and 40's music of course.) Even her little ones want to listen to the radios and ask for them to be turned on.

I enjoy listening to music from the 20's and 30's and find very little of it on AM, especially at a time when I can stay awake. I start drifting off at about 8:30. To me, using a transmitter is the way to go so you can listen to what you want, when you want on your radio. And with the computer, there is a lot of free music and radio programs to be had out there. I've downloaded hundreds of mp3 files of music from the period I'm interested in. How about listening to "The Big Broadcast" with Rich Conaty from WFUV streaming live on the computer? Hook the transmitter up to the computer and you're listening to it on the radio. Or in my case, I record it and listen to it in my leasure.

Just my two cents.

Aaron
