[NJARC] NJARC Crystal-Set Clinic

Hi Al,

Excellent idea! Count me in as a parts source. I will
wonder aimlessly around my basement and see what I can
dig up.

Crystal sets are the reason that any end-of-the-era
5-tube AA -- no matter how cheesy or beat up -- should
not be tossed without at least salvaging the tuning
cap. (and speaker and output trans., but not for xtal
sets) ;-)

I have *always* been disappointed in the performance
of *every* crystal set I have ever built. Perhaps the
clinic will show me what I've done wrong all these
years.

Also, thanks for the info on WWBZ. In my mind's ear, I
can still hear the Rollin' Home Show: "it's
five-thirty, fender-bender bumper-jumper time...."

Regards,

JR
