I don't recall that I ever met Butch, but Joe B. was over there the other
day and told me that although the most important thing was that no one
was injured in the fire, one of Butch's problems at this point will
likely be getting what's left of his collection into a safe location
somewhere else. Apparently many of the radios which weren't directly
damaged by the fire suffered water damage and the house is now unheated
and exposed to the elements. I suggested to Joe that it might be a good
club project if we could help a fellow collector, even if he's not a club
member, move his stuff if need be (moving 2000+ radios sounds like a big
job!) Joe will be in touch with Butch to see what he needs.
