All,
With three weeks of help from the Monmouth County Jail "Men in Orange" we
have completed several rooms in the Marconi Hotel. Also, they finished the
painting and spackling in the NBHF "Hands on Room". This completes the
construction work begun by Ray, Al and Harry. This week the carpet guys came
in and did the carpets for the two rooms so we are ready to setup and work
with kids.

This may be just in time because there is talk of an overnight by 50 cub
scouts followed by a group of brownies both asking for educational programs
on science and technology. Also, coming up will be a youth program on the
history and the contributions to science by telephony. This will fulfill
InfoAge's commitment for a grant received earlier.

InfoAge was featured on Weekends Perspectives on Channel 6 in Philly on
Saturday. The initial segment was set to be about Dr Johnson's film (No
Short Climb), about the first black scientists and technicians hired for
defense work at Camp Evans during WW2, as part of the station's Black
History Month presentations. When the producer started seeing InfoAge he
expanded the segment so it also features Infoage and our work here.

Several of the interviews are done in the NBHF with our exhibits as
background. Ray's WW2 electronics rooms are shown as well as glimpses of
many other areas on site. Excerpts of Dr. Johnson's film including
interviews with several of the WW2 workers with many vintage photos and film
clips make this a very interesting piece. We should be able to show the
video at a future meeting and possibly add it to our streaming video
library.

Oncoming items at InfoAge include the setup of the Technical Library on the
second floor of the Hotel, shelves are on order. Anyone who is interested in
cataloging and shelving books please contact me. Dewey decimal system
experience would be a plus since the library has been expanded by about 4000
books from the Ft. Monmouth Technical Library which were Dewey.

We are gutting the front section of the L building to use as an
auditorium/meeting hall no experience needed. This is a good way to relieve
stress. We also have (as always) several ongoing projects based out of the
E-shop which is temporary home to our plumbing, electrical and locksmithing
functions as well as a good place to repair a radio. The shop has an almost
complete paper set of Riders with the help of John Dilks.

Ray Chase and company are still doing Wednesday work days in the museum,
contact Ray or Harry. Our public hours are 1-4 PM Sundays but other times
can be arranged if you would be interested in InfoAge or our exhibits,
contact me for access.
