[NJARC] Happy Birthday!

Not quite true!
They did not BUILD the first transistor. They "invented" it and did the
theoretical work, and defined how it should be constructed. But the guy
who actually constructed it was a skilled technician who later worked in
my Department. Problem is I had so many people work for me over the
years and my memory is getting older every day, right now I can not
remember his name. He never got any publicity for being part of the
team, and never showed up in the early photographs of the inventors, but
he was invited back every year for awhile to their anniversary
celebration.
This was often true with the skilled technicians who supported the
famous.
