[NJARC] Radio & TV History in NJ

The New Jersey Historical Society, 52 Park Pl. in Newark has asked us to do a noontime program on radio history on 19 March next year.  The woman who is organizing this has chosen to highlight radio & TV history for her Wednesday programs during the month of March and we have been selected for one of the presentations.  More on this later but in talking with her she was not aware of the exstensive number of "firsts" and memorable radio & TV historical events that took place in our state.  So, why not help her and compile a list of all the events related to the history of radio in NJ?  As historians, we should have this information at our beck and call anyway.  So, dig into your memory and referance books and let's make a comprehensive list of NJ "firsts".  Send them to me and I'll compile the list, don't worry about duplicate effort, I'll sort that out.  As the list grows, I'll publish it so you can see what we have and not add more duplicates and also spot missing events.  If you know of existing sources for this information, send it along.
