Sorry, this earlier went to Dave Sica *only* by
mistake...
Hi Folks,
Took a trip down to App's Hardware in Bordentown
today.
The place looks like it's been there forever -- my
kinda place. They have the silk-covered line-cord wire
(well, it looks like silk, I guess it's a synthetic)
59 cents per foot. They have two colors: gold and
brown. I couldn't decide which color I like better, so
I bought 20 feet of each. It will really look nice on
those classic 30's wood sets, assuming I ever get
around to restoring one. Nice folks working there -- a
step back in time.
Right down the block on the opposite side of the
street is the Record Collector, which has a very
atatrctive art-deco facade. Great place also! Loads of
albums, 45s and CDs in all price ranges. Owner was
very friendly and interesting to talk to.
Farnsworth Ave. (the name should appeal to you TV
collectors) has lots of nice shops, a few antique
shops, lots of nice places to eat. A very nice area --
I recommend a trip down there.
My thanks to John Timinski for recommending App's.
Regards,
John
