Hi Alex,
Glad that your feeling better! Early detection of
what? Lyme? Rocky Mountain?
I only mentioned the duped Philcos because 38-690's
are one of my favorites, and were one of the biggest
and most elaborate sets Philco ever made. They're
supposed to be pretty rare, but *how* rare is the
subject of some debate.
If I could get one of those for 200-something or even
400-something, I'd GRAB it! It's really Philco's
answer to the Zenith Stratosphere.
I am *not* a big console expert or anything. I only
know about the 38-690 because I have a scruffy (but
restorable) one sitting in my garage!
