Joe,

I bought a Philco 41-250 which is a good radio with shortwave. My wife is
absolutely in love with that thing! I like it because I never had a
shortwave radio before and now I want to get set up with a shortwave antenna
and I bet somebody here can give me good advice. 

I grabbed a Gloritone 26 cathedral. I really wanted one (a cathedral that
is) and did not want to spend a bundle. It was in need of some love but
basically worked so I am happy with that and it was pretty cheap. It will be
one of my projects which are growing by the day!

I also picked up a Philco 48-200. It isn't working and when I get some time
I will start looking at it. It is a good looking radio, clean and the case
is nice. I figure that is my brother's radio when it is finished and I have
another I can give to my mother. She will really dig an antique radio.
