Check Newark Electronics for a two coil latching relay. The two coils
are polarity sensitive and are used to pulse the relay armature to
either set or reset position. A permanent magnet holds the armature in
either state (set or reset) so this relay has memory. They come in at
least 24 and 12 volt coils, six volt would be ideal for your
application.
