[NJARC] RME preselector

Hi Rob,

Then perhaps the RME preselector was used primarily to
isolate the receiver from the antenna and eliminate
Local Osc. radiation. I have the Riders info, but I
wonder what kind of military documentaion was done for
the RME?

No offense intended to your classic Navy gear, but
I'll bet lots of WW2 receivers could have used some
"brightening up." Why did you mention the RAS? That
had two RF stages like the others.

The thing I don't like about the RME is that it used
noisy old 6K7 tubes. They may have been hot stuff in
1935-36, but by the start of the war there were hotter
and quieter tubes available.

So, does anybody have a Navy RU receiver for sale?
