[NJARC] Philco 41-221 electrodynamic speaker.

Hello all,

I just bought the radio and I need to re-cone the speaker. (All of the paper cone is ripped out. The leads that were glued to the paper are still there.) That part I can get done for ~~$32 which I think is an OK price. My problem is what can I do to assure myself that the rest of the speaker is functioning. One recone person told me that 258 OHMS (my measurement) from the two leads coming out of the electrodynamic coil means that it is functioning. Another one told me that anything less than 1000 OHMS is non-functional.
