This video will blow you away.  It really shows (and hears) how a 
crystal radio works.  It's a little over 3 minutes long.  A ham radio 
station is visible in the background too.

I just uploaded a video onto "youtube.com" demonstrating the operation
of 1922 design crystal radio that I built back in 2003.

The audio is being fed into the sound card so you can hear as I change
the taps on the loose coupler and move the tuning coil in and out of
the antenna coil.

I also show the "tickling of the cat's whisker" on a piece of galena.
