Hi Aaron and John,

I've been "reading the mail" on this one. This is a pretty unusual
setup. The speaker field coil is NOT used as a choke in the power
supply like you'd usually expect, but is connected between B+ and the
2640 ohm resistor to ground. The speaker field has an unusually high
value of 11,700 ohms, plus it's tapped to provide screen voltage for
the first two RF amps. You're probably not going to find a speaker like
that lying around. If anyone else is reading along, see:
http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/708/M0040708.htm

I'd install a permanent magnet speaker of the appropriate size, and
replace the field coil with resistors of approximately 9000 ohms (10
watts) and 2600 ohms.(5 watts). Look like the output transformer was
attached to the original speaker. If you have to replace, it should be
about 7000 ohms to 8 ohms.

Regards,
Al
