[NJARC] WNEW FM

Shortly before the station ceased to exist (as it once was) WNEW FM ran a 2 
day program titled "The Evolution of 102.7 WNEW".  Somehow, although they didnt 
state it , I knew this, as well as some of the program changes was a sign of 
things to come. I taped almost the entire program, took up a few 10" reels of 
tape. But its a great piece of history. Each hour was a different year, 
starting with the creation of the station in 1967. Included were airchecks from all 
the DJ's of yesteryear, and music from the year. Within a couple of months, 
the radio station, that a couple of generations grew up listining to, became 
history... Replaced with a trash talk station, which if i recall , lasted less 
than a year.
