JR & others. John after manhandling that unit you cannot believe that it would sag in the middle while supported on the ends? Remember it was supported that way during the trip on Sal's trailer, if it was going to sag it would have happened then while bouncing around.
Yes I said it weighed 1200 pounds but careful what you hear from old men with poor memory, when I got home I rechecked the manual and it says 1360 pounds. I talked Tom out of the manual on my prior visit and will copy it for preservation. Wonder what you guys would pay for a copy, hmm??
Yes it only runs on 115 volts power input.
Other specs:
RF power out (20 to 250 ohms balanced load) 250 watts
540 to 1600 Kc
Input power consumption: 1625 watts normal program level, 1825 watts @ 100% modulation
Frequency stability +/- 10 cycles
Tube complement:Osc. 807; buffer, 828; final, pair 810's; audio, pair 6J7; mod., pair 828; rect., pair 8008 and a 5Y3
Yah we should eventually fire it up for display purposes into a dummy load, maybe let enough leak out so we stay within low power unlicensed limits. I'd hate to modify it for 160 meters but will yield to what the majority decides.
73's, Ray
