Hi Ray/Phil/Folks,

1360 pounds??? I thought it was "only" 1200 pounds?

Think about it -- that's THIRTEEN Heathkit DX-100's or
Apaches. And you thought THOSE were heavy....;-).

Put another way, the BTA-250 is about FIVE POUNDS PER
WATT of output. It was built to run forever -- it was
on the air as recently as two years ago, according to
Tom O'malley, the engineer. However, it has spent most
of its later years as a backup.

In our own whacky NJARC way, we had fun. It was quite
an experience. We were a good team!

Steve G. -- I'm not volunteering you for anything, but
I know you spend a lot of time at InfoAge. I think we
need to brace up the xmitter in the middle. I think it
will sag if left on those 2x4's on the ends. But I
hope I'm wrong.

Regards,

JR
