I taped the lectures and they'll become a permanent part of the club's
video library.

Realistically, it'll be a while before you'll actually see them there as
they're queued up behind a number of other volunteer projects, and the
paying work always seems to get in the way of all the stuff I'd rather be
doing! But as you noted, the presentations don't happen often so I
figured it was a good idea to grab them while they were being offered.

Al Klase will be making the PowerPoint slides of his presentations
available via the website, probably a lot sooner than the tape, so stay
tuned for that in the interim.

The lectures themselves were good (Phil's talk on the Basics and Al's on
Restoration and Troubleshooting) and the tapes came out well. But the
demonstration on alignment procedures was another story. Although I had
my fingers crossed, as I had suspected under the circumstances of a
real-time live demonstration it wasn't possible to document it in a way
that would provide all that much useful information on the video. So I'm
pretty sure I'm going to have to scrap that one. If there's interest, I'd
consider taking another crack at that one or other demonstrations in the
future and see if they can be done in a way which would work as canned
presentations.
