[NJARC] Have a heart motion

Steve/Sal/Folks,

I agree that we need to set aside "freebie" (or
inexpensive) items for kids and beginners; especially
for kids. This is long overdue. All us long-time
collectors have a certain amount of "stuff" that can
be given away or sold cheap to beginners, to help get
them started (or help them build a "junkbox" of good
parts).

However, I would like to avoid any gimmickry like
dividing the winning bid by the kid's age, or whatever
it was you suggested. And let's face it -- sooner or
later some kid is going to want some radio that one or
more of us "grownups" also wants. As someone who
personally MUST hold the record for NJARC auctions
LOST, I can tell you that you win some, and you lose
more. A good lesson for any kid. ;-)
