[NJARC] To a good home...

Hi everyone. I have two items that I am looking to move on. Too many
projects, not enough time. I'm looking to give these to whoever could
use them:
First is an early VCR (1979?), an RCA Selectavision model VDT501. I've
never plugged it in, but the person who gave it to me said that it
works fine. It has a single scratch on the top, but is in relatively
good shape.
Second is a Philco model 49-1605 console radio/phonograph. The
interesting thing about this set is the turntable. There are two
tonearms one for standard (78's) and one for LP's. This may be one of
the first commercially available home sets for LP's. The set needs
work all the way around, but looks complete. The cabinet needs help,
especially the top. The radio works but could probably stand to be
recapped and it needs a new power cord. I never got the turntable
running. It would turn occasionally. The cartridge for the LP's is
out of the tone arm. Included are the Philco service manuals both for
the set and for the turntable.
If I don't hear from anyone in a week, I'll put them up on FreeCycle.
Wanted to give any interested club member first shot. Thanks.
Harry Bittner
