[NJARC] Calling all Hartley guys..better yet...girls!

Fired up my 204A Hartley oscillator/transmitter.
Test frequency 4 Mc.

Put in 600 VDC @ 100 ma. = 60 watts in.
Got only approx 5 watts out through my link coupled antenna port to dummy 
load light bulb.

NO indication whatsoever on my SWR meter into a 50 ohm dummy.

Plate coil is 3 inch diameter x 11 turns of 1/4 inch copper tubing.
RF output link is 1 turn same diameter.

Q: how do I test to see if 204 is amplifying?
Q: how do I test to see what grid signal it is amplifying?

All help is greatly appreciated.
