This Saturday, the 7th, is Diana Day at the Diana site of InfoAge. This
is the 60th anniversary of Project Diana, the US Army use of radar to
bounce signals off the moon and get a response. OMARC has celebrated
this day for several years but this year we are raising the level of
activity. In addition to OMARC's contribution, a 1960 ham moon bounce
transmitter/receiver rig has been put on display in the OMARC building.
This was donated by the family of SK W2CXY of Basking Ridge. NJARC will
also have tables of displays in the OMARC building and for the kiddies,
the railroad group will have model trains in the Tiros building. Hours
are 9 AM to 7 PM, all activities are at the Diana site. Plan to stop by.
Ray
