I found a local place that is a total time capsule. Among the inventory are:
Sams Photofacts
Riders Manuals
Sams transistor radio manuals
100's of books by Sams and others
They have a self service tube tester
Over 11,000 tubes in stock
High wattage resistors
Carbon resistors
Higher voltage capacitors
Test equipment
Thousands of replacement transistors with the guides, heat sinks and
mounting hardware.
Quig connectors, set back clips, speaker mounting nails, fahnstock clips,
knife switches, etc And probably the whole GC parts line
Pots and on off switches.
Tools
Well over 5000 knobs for TV, Radio and Audio
Radios new in the boxes from the 50's including transistors
Cables
Plugs and jacks
Tube sockets and shields
Transformers of all types
Replacement speakers
Microphones
Keys
Fuses
Headphones and earphones
Minature lamps and sockets
Antenna hardware and replacement telescoping antennas
Chemicals and sprays even vita drive, shield and freon
Phono cartridges and stylus
Wire
Dial cord
Barrier strips of all kinds
Solder, Soldering guns, irons and tools
Raw speakers
Fuse holders, lanp sockets, Battery holders
The place is full of tube Hi-Fi stuff and old radios
After I leave the Radio Shack I eventualy end up there
HOME is where the hardware is
Heck I am far better stocked than the average old parts house except for
picture tubes, yokes and flybacks
